Is a resin driveway slippery?
No, resin bound driveways are designed to be slip-resistant. The natural texture of the aggregate provides grip underfoot and under vehicle tyres. Because the surface is permeable, water drains through the driveway rather than sitting on top, which helps reduce the risk of puddles and ice forming.
What goes under a resin driveway?
A resin bound driveway is installed over a solid, permeable base, usually porous asphalt or concrete. In many installations the ground is prepared with a compacted sub-base (typically MOT Type 3 or similar permeable aggregate) before the base layer is installed.
